It stings pretty badly, hon, but it's not horrifyingly bad. This is just a suggestion from a wrinkled old tattooed lady-- consider that it will be on display and you might get a job that requires you to have to wear long sleeves for a "professional" look. That's really not hard to do(I do it), but also, be very careful what you choose and take your time becuase like I said, it is an area that is exposed easily. I love my black "tribal" tats on the inside of my forearms but often I need to cover them up. I see lots of rose wrist bracelets and while I think they're rather pretty, it so common, maybe you can find something unique. Just a thought.
I'd love to have some bracelet around my uppers arms, all in black tribal. It's been done to death but I love the look. I'll wait until my blubbery arms shrink though.

well i wanted to get 6 words from my favourite lyric done not a bracelet or anything so i guess it is unique, i know it will be exposed alot, and i dont mind... i like the idea of bracelets on the upper arm, but there not for me, lol. ive thought about it for AGES!!! and ive wanted the same thing for over a year now, so i dont think ill regret it thanks for the advice!!
:S I'm scared to have a tat there cause it's so close to veins and i can't stand the feeling of pressure on them. Even someone writing in pen on them - goes right through me *shudders*
Mine didn't hurt at all.
I have cherries on my wrist but they're not really in the middle, they are a little more placed to the outside, reight next to that big vein you have there.
I felt no pain, but maybe if you go more to the center it will hurt more. I did feel an unpleasent feeling right next to my vein so....
Anyway, my watch covers it most of the time. I have it for 8 months now and my parents haven't even seen it in all that time.
So it is possible to hide it when necessary.
