Subject description: A book on the truth about life after eating disorders

I've just heard about this new book, although I haven't read it yet.

It's written by an ex-anorectic, Aimee Liu, on the truth about life after recovering from an eating disorder.

She says: "I noticed a pattern among people I knew who'd had eating disorders. Long after we were normal weights, we tended to be workaholics or self-punishing in exercise. Yes [it's a personality type], research shows the tendancy to develop eating disorders is largely genetic. And if you don't get effective treatment you go on to other self-destructive behaviour or relapse, as one third of anorectics do".

Probably interesting to read if you're currently trying to recover, and because it's written by an ex-anorectic I'm sure she'll know what she's talking about Smile
