How did you get your first Tattoo?

I got my first tattoo at the age of 16 (I am 21 now). Something really soft thisi s my name in chinese.

Since, I got 3 more tattoos still inspired from cultures from Asia.

Well, I was 18 when I got my first tattoo and it was SOOOO original----a rose on the very top of my right arm, near the shoulder.

A few months later, I got another VERY original tatoo-----a butterfly on the back of my left shoulder.

After that, I actually controlled myself for quite a few years.

Then, I got a little tear-drop on my ankle, later a multi-colored fleur de lis(sp?) one around my belly button . . . a big damn red dragon on my hip with some Chinese symbol . . . and a pair of pure black "tribal" tattoos on the inside of each elbow.

Truthfully, someday I'll have the first two lased off. They're just so old, I don't think pounding more color will sharpen them up anymore.

When I got the first one, I never though I would get more, but of course I did and none of them match. With the benefit of hind-sight, I would have had a theme of some kind done, something ALL tribal or ALL asian . . .

Actually, someone offered to pay for a tattoo for me and I took them up on the offer. In retrospect, I wish I had taken the car instead........

My first tattoo I got when i was 16 and now i'm 21 and it is an angel (asian) naked and crouched down with blue wings and blonde hair covering her and she is chained down as well. Since then I've recently got the kanji symbol "etermity" on the back of my neck and i really want to get my whole back done with crazy detail and alot of other things, i want a cross, pink orchid, some sort of symbolism for family, an imperial dragon, and a japanese quote "it's better to light the candle than curse the darkness" mind you funding is a little low and a tattoo like that costs lots so i'm still in the process of saving.

I got my first tat when I was 16. I'm 17 now lol. Its hard to describe so here's a pic from when I had just finished having it done. It's on my lower back by the way.



It looks a lot betetr now though obviously. I got a few ideas of others that I want but I'm trying to restrain myself.

i got mine a month ago...i'm 18. it's a bass clef (music/piano anyone?) with a thin line attaching it to make it a heart! i absolutely love it, it's located on my left hip. an odd spot, but i like it there - it's spontaneous, like me!
me and roommate decided to get tattoos one day and it was cheap, so we just gave'r.

My first (and only ) tattoo, i got one week and five days ago. (I'm 15. )

It's a star, not filled inn completley. If you get it? (I'm not to good at explaining in english) It's on my hip, right on top of the bone.

i got my 1st tat when i was 17 im now 23 - i got it done at home by one of my mates, he did it with the gun hed made in jail, its the capricorn sign (the Vs one) on my right hip - its cr@p, full of holes - but hes dead now so wont change it. I now have 9 all orignal and designed by me. Im working on my tenth.

I got my first one a month after I turned eighteen. It's on the right of my belly button and exists out of two flowers, the veins connect both of them.


And yesterday I got a butterfly on my back and some cherries on my wrist.

I just turned 16 and I really want a small tattoo. It will be a little hard because my mom would probably kill me. Im not 18 so its hard to find a place that will do it without totally messing it up and i think it might hurt.

i got my first tattoo right after i turned 18, some kind of wiccan symbol on my left hipbone.
then i waited a bit and got spontaneous so got the chinease symbol for "life" on my right hipbone.
then got spontaneous again and got a red star outlined in black with a black circle around it on my right thigh.
then i planned for a bit and got my fourth one- a really pretty fairy- on my left shoulder.
i'm 20 now so got 4 tattoo's in 2 years. think that's enough for now lol. my parents dont know and they'd kill me if they did. hehe

I got my first tattoo when I was 14- its the chinese symbol for friend located on my right wrist. In the five years since then Ive got one coming down from my neck- the phrase "To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world" in hebrew. A triquetra on my left hip bone. A tribal tattoo on the bottom of my back and rosery beads on my left ankle and foot (Like nicole ritchie.)

I kinda got my first tattoo on Thursday. I say kinda because i did it myself and im not sure how permanent it is. At first i was just checking whether the ink was poisonous before tattooing a friend but i got carried away and now have a small heart on my right wrist. Thankfully it wasn't poisonous and hopefully its not that permanent!!
