Question: How do I add the Navigation Bar HTML code?

Answer:

To participate in a Web Ring Community you need to insert a piece of HTML code into your page which will display a Navigation Bar. This Navigation Bar allows visitors to browse sites which belong to the same Web Ring Community.

After submitting your site, the confirmation page will show you the code you need to insert into your page. This code will also be emailed to you.

Now, to insert the HTML code you need to understand this is "raw" HTML code. So it means it won't work if you just copy and paste it as you do for text. You need to insert this code in the source of your page.

If you use a WYSIWYG Web Editor (such as FrontPage, DreamWeaver, etc...) you need to switch in Source edition mode to paste the code. Or you can use a tool which is called Insert HTML tag or something similiar to this.

If you are using an online editor you will certainly also have an option to insert HTML code directly.

nb: with some online editors you are not able to insert JavaScript code. In that case you can use the Raw HTML code. Both codes are emailed to you.

If you experience difficulties in inserting the Navigation Bar code into your page, feel free to post in this forum.
