This girl is from my country. The article states that when she used to weigh 56 kg, her friends made fun of her. Also, when she asked a male friend for advice concerning a boy she fancied, this "friend" told her nobody would want to get involved with her romantically. So she started dieting and, when everybody congratulated her on her weight loss and commenetd on how much prettier she looked, she came to believe that when you get thinner, you also get more beautiful. At the beginning, she would consume huge amounts of food, pasta being a favourite, and then throw it up. Later, she gave up blumia and severely restricted what she ate apart from walking for at least an hour a day. Five years later, at the age of 28, she only weighed 19 kg.

I saw her on TV a few weeks ago. She is at a healthy weight and in a happy relationship, which, she says, helped her a lot on the road to recovery.
