What do you think of Microsoft as a video games editor ?

I was supprised to find how goods are some of the Microsoft games , but looking futher I noticed that these games are developped by studios which were purchased by Microsoft.

So this philosophical question came to my mind ... Is Microsoft only a good for buying other ideas or is there a real Microsoft touch ?

PS: if Microsoft money allows small studios to realize their projects it's still good and may allow new talents to rise.
